H.E. Donald J. Trump

Dear President elect of the United States of America

On behalf of the National Umma Party, Sudan’s most popular party in terms of all free general elections, and the Ansar Islamic movement whose beliefs hold Sunnah credentials but reaches out to Sufism and the world of Shiia Islam; and as the twice elected Prime Minster of Sudan, whose term was terminated by an unconstitutional coup d’état, I am pleased to congratulate you for your election as President of USA.

Campaign rhetoric is one thing, but America is already a home of diversity which could only be held together by a policy of tolerant unity in diversity to deter pervasive civil conflict.

The World followed the American general Elections with deep interest as if they were their own. Our Muslim, Arab and African worlds suffer so much from currents of extremism which will be so much empowered if any sounds of extremism come from America. They will provide a haven for extremist recruitment.

It is sincerely hoped and heartily wished that under your leadership America will provide fuel for the enlightened, tolerant, trends which provide substance to the Brotherhood of Man.

As a chairman of an International Forum for Moderation, and as a member of the executive committee of the Club de Madrid, both institutions in different ways advocate the five pillars of Human Rights, namely, Dignity, Freedom, Justice equality and peace, and look forward to America to champion same.

With such expectations, please President elect of USA accept my best wishes and prayers that God and your conscience will guide your path towards a better World.

I am yours sincerely,

Al Sadig Al Mahdi
